I love your zero-hype approach to reporting and thank you for taking time to visit laser forums where I think it's obvious you exchanged some dialog with us.

I do believe like you that the majority of these incidents are not malicious in nature. I rather believe they're the result of uneducated and immature young adults playing with a new toy. I personally wouldn't describe these particular owners as 'laser enthusiasts' because pointing at airplanes is a blatant mistake of judgment that true hobbyists and backyard astronomers are careful to avoid, but semantics aside, I agree with all of the points you made in your interview.

My many wishes to you and your successful career in journalism. Take care.

Ericraccoonhttp://www.candlepowerforums.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9133703253863123050.post-89265722427690094412011-01-21T10:33:53.309-05:002011-01-21T10:33:53.309-05:00Christine,
You're probably right that most la...Christine,

You're probably right that most laser "attacks" in the U.S. aren't malevolent, but they might be overseas. My husband is an Air Force pilot, and they have been issued special protective glasses to ward off constant laser interference in the Middle East.

Thanks for the great report on electronic devices!

Tiffany Hawkdelete this blogger accounthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11240081285634147948noreply@blogger.com
